USB Maus die 100ste

Hallo!
Ich habe mir eine XF86Config für meinen Laptop von tuxmobil.org runtergeladen und eingespielt. Alles geht, nur diese verdammte USB Maus von M$ nicht. Ich hab jetzt Gentoo und unter Knoppix, SuSE, Debian, Lycoris und Mandrake ist sie gegangen, nur jetzt nicht mehr. Ich hab schon alles Devices (devfs) die nach Maus aussehen durchprobiert: /dev/usbmouse, /dev/mouse, /dev/input/mice. Wenigstens funktioniert derweil das Trackpad (unter /dev/mouse). Ich werd noch verrückt. Was mach ich falsch?

wenns unter knoppix doch läuft, dann schau doch mal in der xf86config nach über welches device sie dort angesteuert wird

gabs nicht irgendnen Xbug wo's probs mit UsbMäusen gab? Ich hab meine Typhoon Maus auch mal ewig nicht zum laufen bekommen, .... dann hab ich sie mit nem Adapter über ps/2 laufen lassen u. sie funzte

Hab auch ne M$ mouse und mit diesen Einstellungen von einem Freund der GenToo hat läuft sie bei mir mit Suse 8.2 :)

Hallo!
Unter /dev/mouse ist das Trackpad. Nur das Problem ist, das ich keinen PS/2 Anschluss habe. Bitte, das muss doch gehen.

bei mir schauts so aus....mit den modules: mousedev input usb-ohci hid und usbcore...läuft prima...is ne logitech mouseman optical mit mausrad und 3 tasten :D

Blöde Frage, aber: Wo ist mousedev beim menuconfig? Ich hab keine Module, ich hab alles reinkompiliert was ich brauch (aber den Support hab ich zur Sicherheit angelassen).
Weis vielleicht wer was die Module /dev/rtc und /dev/misc/rtc sind? Beim booten kommt: Modprobe can't locate modules ...

ich hab die alle als module...falls mal usb oder so rumzickt, dann entlad ich das modul und lads wieder neu, is aber ja nich sooo einfach wenns im kernel is ;)

Gut, mach gerade nen neuen Kernel bei dem die Funktionen die du angegeben hast als Module drin sind.

Geht trotzdem nicht. Hab schon probiert das mousedev Modul zu entladen und wieder zu laden. Geht nicht. Das einzige was sich verändert hat ist, dass das LED von der Maus etwas schwächer leuchtet als vorher (falls das was bedeutet).

hmmhmmhmm...was hast du denn für nen board (also chipsatz)? hast du noch andere usbsachen?
was sagt das syslog zu usb-sachen?

Und ziemlich of findet er das Modul char-major-4 nicht.

edit: ne hab ich nicht, aber der kernel mit der option ist schon im backrohr :) .
