Fehler müssten auch direkt nach dem Löschversuch in der Ausgabe von "dmesg" stehen, falls kein Log geschrieben werden kann.

Nur noch mal zur Info. Man muss kein Genie sein, um die relevanten Meldungen hier zu erkennen. Die Meldungen in dmesg sind auch so angeordnet, dass die Neusten immer unten sind. Das soll kein Vorwurf sein, aber damit hättest Du den Fehler eigentlich auch allein finden können. Weil es ist eigentlich ziemlich einfach, wenn man weiß, wo man gucken muss.

...zumal micha97 laut Signatur SuSE verwendet, da wird ein fsck ohnehin von Zeit zu Zeit (nach 30 mounts oder so ähnlich) angestoßen. Kennen sollte er das also.

fscks kann man auch händisch über eine Live-CD machen, das hat den Vorteil, dass man zusätzliche Optionen (detailliertere Ausgabe, Fortschrittsbalken etc.) angeben kann. Der default-SuSE-fsck (wo stellt man den eigentlich ein?) ist immer etwas schweigsam.

In vielen GUIs wird das ja immer alles anders genannt, da braucht man sich nicht wundern, wenn Leute nach vielen Jahren immer noch keine Ahnung von dem haben, was sie die ganze Zeit benutzen.

Einige Ubuntu-Benutzer wissen z.B. nichtmal, dass Ubuntu Linux ist. Öfter hört man auch Sachen, wie "Ich habe Linux 9.2 ...". Klar, wenn man mit dem Zeug unter der Haube nie in Berührung kommt, dann versteht man auch die Terminologie nicht richtig. Das ist wie mit "Verzeichnis"/"Directory" (eigentlich korrekte Bezeichnung) und "Ordner"/"Folder" (GUI-Pendant dazu), nur dass es in diesem Beispiel selten Probleme verursacht.
