Fedora Core 6 als Zweitinstallation endet in Kernel Panic

Ich wollte mir heute mal Fedora Core 6 ansehen, aber irgendwie scheint die Distribution etwas zickig zu sein.

Auf meinem System sind Mandriva, Suse, Ubuntu und nun auch Fedora installiert und ich habe eine extra /boot Partition. Diese habe ich während der installation auch angegeben!
Anschließend habe ich die Fedora-Installation über Mandrivas Bootmanager-Tool "drakboot" eingebunden, das funktionierte bisher mit jeder Distribution ohne Probleme, nur mit Fedora 6 eben nicht!
Das Kernel Image von Fedora wird ohne Probleme geladen, aber dann wird die Root Partition nicht gefunden und es endet in einer Kernel-Panic.

Lasse ich stattdessen den Bootloader von Fedora installieren, läuft es ohne Probleme. Allerdings bindet er meine anderen Installationen nicht ein!

Hat jemand eine Idee warum Fedora nicht will?

Das Problem scheint nur mit Lilo aufzutreten. Ich nutze ersatzweise erstmal GRUB.
