HILFE!! USB-Stick kann nicht formatiert werden!!

Hallo,

ich hoffe irgendjemand kann mir helfen,dieser *******-USB-Stick treibt mich zur Weissglut!! Verrückt

Folgendes Problem: USB-Stick war unter Windows mit irgendner Software passwort-geschützt,keine Ahnung welche,da diese vom Stick gelöscht wurde.

Der Stick ist jetzt 500Kb groß,keine Ahnung wie groß der wirklich ist,steht nirgends drauf! Das Teil nennt sich "Marchi-Disk"

folgendes wurde mit Knoppix-Version V3.6 von mir versucht.

Wie bin ich vorgegangen:
konsole geöffnet, "su" eingegeben, "mkdosfs -F16 /dev/sda1" eingegeben--->Ausgabe:"unable to open /dev/Sda1"

danach "umount /dev/sda1" und "mount /dev/sda1 -w" einegegeben um explizit Schreibrechte auf dem Stick zu haben.

Nach dem mount-Befehl, kam der Fehler/Hinweis:blockorientierte Gerät /dev/sda1 ist schreibgeschützt, doch Option -w ist explizit gegeben

Danach heb ich es mit qtpartet probiert, das zeigt am Fortschrittsbalken zwar 100% an, aber der OK-Button bleibt grau hinterlegt,es geht also nicht weiter.Als wäre qtpartet abgestürzt.

So, ich hoffe hier ist jemand im Forum der irgendeine Idee hat, wie ich das Problem löse.
Ich würde mich über zahlreiche Ideen sehr freuen.


Unter Windows habe ich auch sämtlich Sachen probiert, immer die Meldung das der Stick schreibgeschützt ist.

--> ich habe natürlich nicht den kleinen Schiebeschalter vergessen, falls das jemand vermutet

Ich kann damit nichts anfangen, bin kein Experte :o für Linux/Knoppix

Wenn Du den Stick komplett plätten kannst/willst: Versuch als root mit "fdisk /dev/sda" die vorhandene Partition zu löschen und eine neue anzulegen. Vorher mit fdisk -l schauen, was sonst alles noch da ist, nicht daß Du die falsche Platte erwischt...

Wenn Du außer den zwei IDE Platten nicht noch eine andere angeklemmt hast, dürfte /dev/sda der Stick sein. Dann kann fdisk /dev/sda1 keine befriedigenden Ergebnisse liefern.

Falls die Vermutung von pcdog zutrifft, hast Du natürlich gelitten, aber versuch es doch mal mit fdisk /dev/sda (wie bereits in # 5 geschrieben...). Wenn Du sicher bist, daß es Dein Stick ist plätte die Partition (mit 'd') und leg eine neue an (mit 'n'). Hilfetext gibt es mit 'm', FS-Typ sollte vfat (ID: b) oder vfat16 sein (ID e).

Nachtrag: Anschliessend mußt Du die Partition mit mkfs formatieren...

Richtiger wäre:
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1 -o rw oder
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1 -w
(Der Mountpunkt muss natuerlich existieren)
Ausserdem muss die Partition zum Formatieren nicht eingehängt sein, ein
mkdosfs -F16 /dev/sda1 sollte eigentlich langen.
Die Fehlermeldung "unable to open /dev/Sda1" weist deutlich darauf hin, dass du entweder in der Fehlermeldung oder im Befehl einen Tippfehler hast.

chmod 666 /dev/sda*
dd if=/dev/null of=/dev/sda

Falls das nicht geht hätte ich da eine wirklich sehr doofe Idee und ich weiß nicht ob das Funktionieren würde, aber
halte doch mal einen Magneten dran ...Ich weis nicht ob das überhaupt Funktioniert, der Stick könnte auch beschädigt werden.

...was bedeutet obige Ausgabe eigentlich??Daß Du auf den Stick nicht schreiben kannst... Mit dem dd-Befehl hättest Du, wenn es geklappt hätte, den gesamten Stick mit Nullen gefüllt. Aber da ist wohl auch der Schreibschutz vor.

Ob das mit dem Magneten klappt wage ich zu bezweifeln, aber kaputtgehen wird wohl nichts. Und wenn Du ihn sonst sowieso wegwirfst...

Nachtrag: Vllt. erfährst Du noch etwas über den Stick, wenn Du ihn abklemmst, in einer Konsole "tail -f /var/log/messages" laufen läßt und dann den Stick wieder anklemmst. Das ist nicht ganz so ausschweifend wie dmesg, zumal mich dort wundert, wo auf einmal /dev/sdb herkommt. Beenden kannst Du das tail nach der Ausgabe mit <ctrl><c>.

stick versucht zu mounten

Aber in der Konsole wo tail lief, passierte nix

oder hab ich da bei der Ausführung deines Vorschlages was falsch gemacht?

Weiß nicht genau, wofür Du die zweite Konsole geöffnet hast. Wenn Du den Stick bei laufendem tail -f einsteckst, sollte dort eine Ausgabe in dieser Form produziert werden:

Also Konsole, tail -f absetzen, diese Konsole beobachten und den Stick einstecken... Wie Du siehst, gibt es dort einiges an Information, u.a. auch über write-protection.

Ach ja, nimm die Vorschläge hier auch mal zum Anlaß, die jeweilige Manpage zu lesen. Bei tail bspw.
... -f, --follow[={name|descriptor}]
output appended data as the file grows; -f, --follow, and --follow=descriptor are equivalent
...Und in der /var/log/messages werden die Systemereignisse geloggt...

Und zum Formatieren (low-level oder nicht) brauchst Du Schreibzugriff. Den hast Du offenbar nicht, sonst hätte die Partitionierung funktionieren müssen bzw. der dd-Befehl...

Leute, es wird so nix. Der Stick verweigert, beschrieben zu werden. Ich hatte mal exakt das gleiche Problem. Mit nem Passwort hatte ich aber nicht herumgespielt; ich weiss auch nicht, wie der PW-Schutz in einem Stick integriert ist. Es war halt auf einmal so und ich konnte das Ding auch nur noch in die Tonne treten.

Da war auch nach langer tüftelei einfach nix zu machen...

Schau mal auf der TreiberCD nach bzw. auf der Herstellerhomepage, ob du dort ein Formatierungsprogramm findest. Damit konnte ich das Problem bei meinem Stick losen.
Ich denke pcdog hat Recht und dann gibt es vermutlich keine andere Lösung.

es bleibt dabei tail -f erzeugt bei mir keinen Output.
Ich hab mir die messages-Datei mal angesehen aber die bleibt 0k groß.

Ich benutze Knoppix V3.6 (als Live CD)


Die zweite Konsole hatte ich geöffnet um den Stick zu mounten, in der Hoffnung das,
tail - f dann irgend nen Output erzeugt.
Aber in der Konsole wo tail lief blinkte nur der cursor unterm tail -Befehl und das wars.

Auf der Hersteller-Homepage,(falls es diese ist,hab ja keine weiteren Info´s zum Stick) war nur das zu finden:
