Dienste verwalten?

Hallo!

Ich habe mir Ubuntu Linux installiert, das ja auf Debian basiert.

Nun möchte ich gene die Dienste verwalten, am besten grafisch und unter Gnome.
Kennt da jemand ein Programm, womit man das erledigen kann?

Ich habe mir hier schon einen Wolf gesucht, aber ich kann nichts finden...

Ich selber benutze dies nicht, habe aber über apt-cache mal folgendes gefunden:


Package: gnome-system-tools

was meinstn damit? "Dienste verwalten?" hat das was speziell mit disem ubuntu linux zu tun? oder meinst du mailserver und so?

Ich meine einfach schauen, welche Dienste überhaupt laufen.

Bei SuSE z.B. kannst Du "chkconfig" in die Konsole eingeben und alle Dienste werden aufgelistet.

Und wenn ich beispielsweise Postfix nicht benötige, gebe ich "chkconfig postfix off" ein, das ist eigentlich alles, was ich will...

Vielleicht hiflt dir man update-rc.d weiter.

Ja richtig.

Aber wenn ich den Threadersteller richtig verstanden habe, dann hätte er ein Konfigurationstool gewollt, welches über eine graphischen Oberfläche ansteuerbar ist.

gnome-system-tools (so heisst das Paket unter debian) wäre afaik so etwas gewesen, scheit aber bei unbuntu nicht dabei zu sein?
Versuche mal ein apt-cache search runlevel zu machen, bei mir kommt dann etwas derartiges heraus:


salvi@debian:~/tmp$ apt-cache search runlevel
file-rc - Alternative boot mechanism using a single configuration file
gnome-system-tools - Cross-platform configuration utilities for GNOME
newbiedoc - Documentation by and for newbies
rcconf - Debian Runlevel configuration tool
sysv-rc - Standard boot mechanism using symlinks in /etc/rc?.d
sysv-rc-conf - SysV init runlevel configuration tool for the terminal (allerdings auch das für die Konsole)

ich glaube in obiger List wären das schon genannte gnome-system-tools ein solches Programm, und sysv-rc-conf.

EDIT: Als kde-Frontend gibt es glaubs ksysv.
