Gentoo 2004.1 hat einen Schaden...

Hossa hab mir gestern mal gedacht ich sollte mir mal wieder Gentoo installieren damit ich sehe was sich seit 1.4 und 2004.0 getan hat

Installation war problemlos...

Jedoch hab ich drei Probleme die ich bei 1.4 und 2004.0 nicht hatte

1. Laut dmesg gibts kein /proc/bus/usb bzw es kommt die Fehlermeldung beim booten das es /proc/bus/usb nicht gibt

2. hotplug versucht dir ganze Zeit beim boot radeonfb zu laden was total unnötig ist, da a) es vor hotplug nicht nötig war und b) X radeon benutzt.

3. Kopete hat nen Tick, ich richte ganz normal meine ICQ Account an, klick nach beendigung der Einrichtung auf "Alle Verbinden" und was ist? Ich bin online aber nur für 2 Sek danach wird die Verbindung einfach gekappt.

Ich hoffe dir ist bewußt, daß die unterschiedliche Versionsnummer sich nur auf die Livecd und aktuellere stages beschränkt. Was hinterher rauskommt ist immer das gleiche. D.h du brauchst nicht alle 3 Monate wenn mal wieder eine neue Livecd rauskommt dein Gentoo neu installieren.

So und zu den Fehlern dafür gibs http://bugs.gentoo.org einfach mal suchen. Die 2004.1 Livecd ist ja bekanntlich sehr buggy, also lieber auf ältere CD's (die 1.4-er war bisher die beste wie ich fand) oder Knoppix als Livecd nehmen (da brauch man sich nicht mit links in der Konsole abmühen um die Installanleitung zu lesen)

Es könnte natürlich durchaus sein, dass der Kernel ohne procfs Untstützung gebaut worden ist, oder auch das proc/ schlicht und ergreifend nicht gemountet ist. Wirf mal ein Blick in die /etc/fstab.


2. hotplug versucht dir ganze Zeit beim boot radeonfb zu laden was total unnötig ist, da a) es vor hotplug nicht nötig war und b) X radeon benutzt.

Das lässt sich ganz einfach lösen, indem du in die Datei /etc/hotplug/blacklist den Eintrag radeonfb hinzufügst, dann sollte Hotplug das nicht mehr versuchen.

proc ist in der fstab, auch gemoutet und der Kernel untersützt proc und nun?

Iregndwie kam mir 1.4 auch besser vor als 2004.x :(

Bei 2004.1 erkennt es nicht mal mehr meine NIC richtig was 1.4 aber tat :(

Naja ich hab 1.4 ca 3 Monate benutzt 2004.0 nur kurz einen Tag drauf gehabt und 2004.1 wollte ich jetzt auch mal wieder sehen :( Da Slackware ja keinen SCSI+XFS Kernel hat wollte ich wieder mal Gentoo nutzen...
