Hallo,
habe suse9.0 prof und habe samba von dieser Version installiert.
Das Packet wurde fehlerhaft von den Original CD installiert. samba läßt sich weder
deinstallieren noch über yast konfigurieren und starten.
Wie bekomme ich das Packet richtig deinstalliert?
Reicht hier manuelles Löschen der Verzeichnisse für samba?

Bügel die Paket einfach noch einmal mit rpm -U --force xxx.rpm drüber, dann kannst du sie auch wieder deinstallieren...

habs jetzt so versucht, aber es ist immer der Prozess insserv der den Fehler mit einer ständigen CPU Last von 95% diesen Fehler verursacht.
Ob hier mein apache2 Schuld ist. Den habe ich nicht als suse-rpm installiert sondern
als tar.gz selbst kompiliert.
Genau das möchte ich mit dem samba auch machen, weil ich mit der samba-Konfiguration von yast absolut nicht klar komme.

Vielleicht stoppe ich mal den apache. Der funktioniert aber ohne Probleme.
Aber sonst weiß ich auch nicht was ich tun soll.

Zeig mal die INIT-Info aus /etc/apache.
Achja, nur weil du mit der Konfiguration von Apache/Samba mit YAsT nicht klar kommst, brauchst du die Pakete ja nicht selber installieren, benutze YaST doch einfach nicht...

der Packetmanager funktioniert überhaupt nicht mehr, immer die gleiche Fehlermeldung
über das loop mit insserv.
Vielleicht muß ich yast auch nochmal neu installieren. Hier scheint was fehlerhaft zu sein.
Vielleicht fehlt bei mir noch ein update zu suse9.0

Hallo,
nach mehreren Versuchen hats geklappt. Habs im runlevel 3 versucht. Weiß nicht warum
die Packete jetzt deinstalliert sind.
Braucht man eigentlich noch den inetd für den samba-server oder funktioniert er
auch mit xinetd? Normalerweise muß man ja den server in die inetd.conf eintragen,
die bei mir gar nicht vorhanden ist.
Bei Suse8.2 mußte ich auch erst inetd installieren für samba.
Hier habe ich alles was nach log aussieht aus /opt/apache2 kopiert unter etc oder
var/log habe ich nichts gefunden.
