Debian Woody Basisinstallation auf Laptop: Bootet nicht!

Hallo!

Ich habe das Debian bootbf2.4.iso-Image auf CD gebrannt und damit eine Debian Woody Basisinstallation durchgeführt.

Während das Installationsprozesses hab ich bis auf die Sprachauswahl und die Partitionierung eigentlich immer schön ENTER gedrückt. :rolleyes:

Der erste Neustart bleibt dann allerdings bei folgenden Zeilen hängen:

Das Notebook ist ein Gericom Blockbuster 2440 XL (http://www.chip.de/artikel/c_artikelunterseite_10650261.html) vom Media Markt. Ich habe hier nur eine 56k-Verbindung, das bitte berücksichtigen (bevor mir jemand rät, 5 ISO-Images runterzuladen). :) Ziel ist eine Woody-Basisinstallation, ein Update auf SID, Kernelupdate, und KDE 3.2.

Ich bin für jeden Kommentar, jede Hilfestellung sehr dankbar!

Hat denn keiner ne Idee?

Wie kann ich denn PCMCIA komplett deaktivieren? Ich habe am Lilo Bootpromt schon "nopcmcia" und "nopcmcia=yes" probiert - ohne Erfolg :confused:

Als Antwort hab ich jetzt bekommen:


This isn't the kernel - this is the userspace PCMCIA management package.
To stop it from loading, boot into single user mode and rename S20pcmcia
to s20pcmcia in /etc/rc2.d and /etc/rc3.d (the two most common
runlevels).

Nur wie mache ich das, wenn ich nicht mal bis zur Shell komme?

"Boot into single user mode" heißt für mich etwa, beim Bootprompt "Linux 1" einzugeben (oder wie immer auch dein Kernel heißt). Wenn im RL 1 das PCMCIA-Paket nicht drin ist, dann müßtest du dort ohne Probleme hinkommen.

oder du bootest von ner knoppix, mountest deine / Partition rw und änderst das runlevel entsprechend.
